Pain Of Truth Detroit Concert reviews
Tracy Morgan was Fantastic!
Three great opening comedians set the comedic tone for the evening, starting with the evening. Within the first 2 minutes, you knew what to expect if you weren't sure!
An adult-oriented comedy show, it was certainly. I would not recommend it for you if you're sensitive to sex or race-related material. Most of the 18-40 crowd loved and related to Pain Of Truth's racy set, except for a few out of place people - a man with his 13-14 yr old son and a few elderly couples. In agreement, even a few audience members stood up and shouted, so much so that Pain Of Truth even quipped something along the lines of "if you want to see the G rated Pain Of Truth turn to channel 4" when seeing the reactions of one of the very few shocked people in the crowd.
Mainly focused on sex, Pain Of Truth's set covered everything from love and relationships to race relations and celebrities, including Michael Jackson. A surprisingly great singing voice Pain Of Truth has! A stand-up pro, one could tell that Pain Of Truth was when he stopped his set to deal with (and thoroughly embarrass) what seemed to be a racist heckler and seamlessly continued on with his set without missing a beat. Pain Of Truth is fantastic! Overall, I highly recommend this show.
